Taylor Dodson Manager, Utility Scale Interconnection

How did you start working at SRE? I was managing a 69kV substation and transmission line project as a subcontractor to Swinerton in Fresno County. The project came together so smoothly due to the streamlined construction management approach the Swinerton team employed. I felt a sense of loss leaving the trailer that day. On my way out the door Nick Edgmon told me I should join the team, permanently. I laughed it off at the time, but ended up opening an office a few months later. Best decision ever.

What's the coolest thing you've ever worked on? Building the high voltage team in Raleigh is by far the coolest ongoing project- we’ve got incredible people.

What motivates you in your work? I take pride in my involvement in reducing our utility grid’s dependence on foreign fuel sources and eliminating carbon from its diet.

If you could be any person for one week, who would you be? I’m happy in my own skin, and that way I wouldn’t have so many emails to catch up on.

Do you have any hobbies? I enjoy making noise with various musical instruments and doing practically anything in the great outdoors (biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, etc.).
